OK, so I have to admit–I’m not the biggest baseball fan. Scratch that–not a fan at all (didn’t watch a single game this season).
HOWEVER…
I am connected to several of the St. Louis Cardinals’ biggest fans–my brother, former roommate, and sister-in-law. So when the Cardinals made it to the World Series–then WON, I got excited, vicariously through them.
Almost five years ago to the day, I was in St. Louis attending a journalism conference. It just so happened that the Cardinals were there, too–getting ready to win the title of 2006 World Series Champion. Fortunately, I was there with my camera and caught some of the emotion downtown.
